he level of female representation in Somaliland’s 2021 election process has been described as excellent by members of the monitoring team stationed at the Elections Situation Room organized by the Somaliland Non-State Actors Forum (SONSAF).

Observers expressed their satisfaction with the inclusivity and growing participation of women across different stages of the electoral process, calling it a milestone in the country’s democratic journey.

“We’re glad to be part of the monitoring team at the Somaliland Elections Situation Room organized by SONSAF. The level of female engagement and representation is truly commendable,” said one of the observers.
