The Female in Media Organization (FIMO), in collaboration with UNSOM, has successfully concluded a comprehensive three-day training program. This training brought together 25 accomplished female journalists from the Awdal and Marodijex regions, facilitating their acquisition of valuable skills in effectively utilizing social media platforms.
The training sessions were meticulously crafted and conducted by experts from FIMO and UNSOM. Over the course of these three days, the participants expressed their deep appreciation for the knowledge and insights gained. Hamda Abdi Sogsog, an active participant, highlighted the training’s role in enhancing their comprehension of social media dynamics.
Hafsa Saidi, hailing from the Awdal region, underscored the significance of the new techniques acquired during the training, emphasizing how these methodologies would undoubtedly elevate her professional endeavors. She also proposed that the subsequent training session be hosted in the Awdal region, citing the enthusiasm of 25 female journalists who aspire to enhance their work through social media mastery. Hafsa expressed gratitude towards FIMO and UNSOM for their instrumental roles in this achievement.
During the closing ceremony, distinguished speakers including Deputy Minister of Information Syed Habane, MP Raambow from the House of Representatives, Simon from the UNSOM office, prominent figures from FIMO, and Anna, one of the trainers, emphasized the importance of translating the acquired knowledge into practical implementation. Their insightful speeches encouraged the participants to harness the newfound skills and insights to advance their professional pursuits effectively.
